Carried unanimously.
The Clerk reported that 3.2 beer on —sale license #50 had been issued to the VFW Post
6583; also, their application, received later, was given to Mr. Locher to check over.
A letter from the Fire Underwriters Inspection Bureau had been received stating that
they required copies of both fire contracts before they would review our classification.
A letter from the State Highway Dept. in reply to a request that the street lights on
the I35W bridge be repaired was received stating that the problem had been investigated
and that a damaged buried cable was the cause and would be repaired following the thaw.
The Clerk stated that a letter from the Twin Cities Area Metropolitan Transit Commission
had been received which set the meeting dates of April 15th and May 28th at 7:30 a.m.
at various area restaurants for municipal staff people and elected officials. We
will be informed later of definite meeting places.
The Clerk stated that Mr. Wally Hill had finished his work on the audit and expected
to have the finished copies in time for the first meeting in March. Also, she had
picked up the typewriter from the Lexington Village Hall. A call from the Lexington
Clerk had been received stating that a local newspaper article on the subject of the
typewriter was misleading; Lexington had no interest whatever in it but wished several
other items of the Municipal Court property.
