91 <br />The Clerk stated that the Assessor wished to purchase a polaroid camera with an <br />electric eye to use in connection with her work; the pictures would be placed in <br />permanent files as is done in the County Assessor's office. Mr. Rosengren moved <br />to authorize the Assessor to purchase the camera for $65.00, as well as a case for <br />the same and 15 rolls of film. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried unanimously. <br />The bond for a borrow pit on the Lloyd Erickson Farm by Marvin Rehbein Construction <br />was given to Mr. Locher to read. Mr. Rosengren stated that he had gone over the <br />property with the State Engineer. Mr. Gotwald stated that the operation was com- <br />plete and that he was going to check the property the following day. Mr. Gotwald <br />had specified the amount of the bond at $2,000.00 based upon the removal of 5000 <br />cubic yards of dirt from 1 acre. It was noted that everything had been complied <br />with ahead of time. Mr. Bohjanen made a motion to ratify the verbal commitment <br />of allowing a borrow pit for Marvin Rehbein, since Mr. Rehbein did consult ahead <br />of time with the Attorney, Engineer and Council members, and to allow the release <br />of the bond upon the Engineer's approval given to the Clerk. Seconded by Mr. <br />Jaworski. Carried unanimously. Mr. Gotwald noted that the use of the haul road had <br />been taken care of by the State Hwy. Engineer; the work had to be done before the <br />roads were posted for loads. The Clerk will send a billing for the special use permit <br />to Mr. Rehbein. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to accept the continuation certificate of the $5,000 bond issued <br />by Western Surety Co. for Berghorst Plumbing and Heating Co. persuant to Ordinance <br />No. 47. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Cardinal passed out sheets containing requested data on Mr. Ken Rehbein's pre- <br />fab homes. Twin City Testing and Engineering Laboratory, Inc. reported that the <br />2x4 floor joists laminated top and bottom with plywood would take a 50# per square <br />foot load which is more than adequate under the building code. Mr. Gotwald noted <br />that the FHA has also tested these and found them to withstand nearly 60# per square <br />foot. Also, several other suburbs have approved the prefabs. The Clerk was instructed <br />to send copies of the sheet to Planning & Zoning members. <br />Mr. Jaworski had no report,but wished to know if the extra funds in the Debt Redemption <br />Fund couldn't be put in Certificates of Deposit. Mr. Locher reminded the Council <br />that they had decided not to pay off the $2,000 bonds owing; also, that the next date <br />of payment of the bond would have to be watched. Mr. Jaworski moved to authorize the <br />Clerk to put up to $6,000.00 into treasury bills. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Bohjanen reported that Mr. Van Housen had been unable to make the last Community <br />and Business Development Commission meeting due to another commitment which ran <br />overtime. However, he had talked with the Planner twice. Mr. Van Housen stressed <br />that the freeways should be indicated clearly on the brochure cover. Also, that <br />the brochure should not be completed until the airport decision is made within 30- <br />45 days. <br />Mr. Bohjanen thought that they would discuss having promotional days for Lino Lakes <br />in the fall; letters will be sent to all Community and Business Development members <br />and businessmen for suggestions. Mr. Bohjanen will try to get together with the <br />Planner once more after the airport decision. <br />The Clerk asked Mr. Bohjanen how soon the Information Guide would be ready. He <br />thought that the layout would be ready for the next meeting. Mayor L'Allier asked <br />to have copies of the proof mailed out before that meeting. <br />
