Locher stated that if Lakes Addition #2 is filed by April 6th, he would be able <br />to use the plat description for the notices rather than a metes and bounds des- <br />cription. <br />After discussion, W. Bohjanen moved to set the preliminary plat hearings before <br />the Planning & Zoning Commission on April 15th at 9:00 p.m. and before the Council <br />on April 27th at 8 :30 p.m. Seconded by W. Cardinal. Carried unanimously. <br />The Council were shown the street name changes in Lakes Addition #2, but voiced no <br />objection. <br />Mr. Gotwald presented a request' from Northwestern Bell Telephone to place buried <br />cable in 7th Avenue and into Lakes Addn. #1. After discussion, W. Bohjanen moved <br />to approve the request by Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. and to authorize the <br />signature of same by the Clerk; also that the Clerk write a letter of,the approval <br />stating that any future relocation of the buried lines due to changes in the con- <br />struction of the street would be Northwestern Bell Telephone Company's liability. <br />Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. L'Allier reminded the Council of the meeting the following evening with Planning & <br />Zoning, Planner and Engineer on the subject of mobile home parks at 8 :00 p.m. as well <br />as the interview of the applicants for assistant constable at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mr. L'Allier read the police report for February as follows: <br />2,377.3 miles driven <br />239 business and home checks <br />8 complaints <br />4 domestics <br />4 assists to/by other departments <br />4 thefts from autos <br />3 accidents <br />3 snowmobile complaints <br />2 aid given to motorists <br />2 aid given to non - motorist citizens <br />2 stolen cars recovered <br />1 emergency message delivered <br />1 stolen property recovered <br />1 stolen snowmobile <br />1 act of vandalism <br />On W. Locher's recommendation of a letter received from AEtna Life & Casualty <br />Insurance, W. Jaworski moved to cancel the bond for Inter -State Plumbing & Heating, <br />Inc. and to cancel the license issued to them for sewer work. Seconded by W. <br />Cardinal. Carried unanimously. <br />W. Locher noted that he had received a map of a lot split from W. Dupre and was <br />checking this out with local covenants, etc. at the Registrar's office. The property <br />belongs to a Verner Ness of Stillwater. <br />Mr. Rosengren presented his bond and insurance policy for his application for an <br />on -sale liquor license. It was noted that a 5th liquor license had been granted <br />by the last legislature session. W. Locher checked the papers and stated that the <br />insurance coverage was adequate but wondered about the date of April 1; he recom- <br />mended that W. Rosengren renew the policy on July 1 to eliminate any difficulties <br />with dates. Otherwise, W. Rosengren will need a certificate of new policy each <br />year at April 1. <br />
