Also in attendance were Engineer Gotwald as well <br />as Glenn Rehbein and John McLean of the Building Committee. <br />The bids had been opened on June 29th at 11 o'clock a.m. by Engineer Gotwald, Trustee <br />Rosengren and the Clerk. The affidavits of publication of the ad and the ad itself <br />were read. Mr. Gotwald opened the bids and read them as follows: <br />1. Nordling Construction Co.: bid bond 5 %; bid amount -- $97,731; time- 4 to 5 mo. <br />2. Gladstone Improvement Co.: bid bond 5 %; bid amount-- $159,000;time- 6 mo. <br />3. Krueger Construction Co.: bid bond 5 %; bid amount -- $83,807; time- 6 mo. <br />4. Mattson Building'& Supply Co.: bid bond 5 %; bid amount -- $89,795; time- 135 days. <br />5. Metro - Metals, Inc.: bid bond 5 %; bid amount -- $1012,668.00; time 90 days. <br />Mr. Gotwald had informed the company representatives present that he would tabulate <br />the bids and would report on them to the Council at a special meeting July 6th at <br />8 p.m. The low bidder would be notified. <br />
