2� <br />11/9/70 <br />$r. L'Allier noted, with Mr. Locher's agreement, that under State lawn, that the <br />Clerk has the power to appoint a Deputy Clerk with the Couneil's approval. The <br />Clerk thought she would prefer the applicant who has no children at home since <br />it would be more convenient for her to work at the Hall when necessary. Mr. <br />L'Allier stated that he preferred someone who lived in the Village. Upon, <br />further discussion Mr. Cardinal moved to hire Mrs. Mary McCoy as the Deputy <br />Clerk until the end of the year when reappointment could be made. Seconded <br />by Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. The Clerk stated that she would call <br />Mrs. McCoy in the morning. <br />Mr. Rosengren reported that they had not yet had a Building Comwittee meeting, <br />but were trying to get together. He had discussed carpeting with the company <br />who was doing his place, and was advised to use carpeting throughout. <br />Mr. Locher had studied the dower license application from Clyde Rehbein. A <br />license was to have been obtained within 30 days, but since the Council meeting <br />was not within that time, it would technically pass. Mr. Bohjenen moved to <br />approve a septic systems license for Clyde Rehbein providing that he gets the <br />necessary bond and insurance. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. L'Allier mentioned that we had asked Mr. Dupre for a report on the Jandric <br />foundations. Mr. Dupre stated that he doesn't know why anyone would complain <br />about those foundations. Crystal stated that the.00mplaint was on the workman- <br />ship, that there were holes between the blocks that you could put your hand <br />through. Mr. Dupre stated that he didn't see any holes. Crystal thought that <br />they must have been fixed. <br />Mr. Cardinal inquired about the list of registered voters --that it was to be <br />given to anyone but salesmen? He was told yes. Mr. Cardinal stated that Mr. <br />Al Ross had contacted him on this. Mr. Ross stated that he had no objection to <br />the list being given to political parties, but, if it went to other people we <br />would just be receiving junk mail. He wondered it same c rpl- ebulintt be <br />placed over whom the lists were given to. He also thought they should be <br />charged more than 251 per list. Mr. Rosengren wondered what was wrong with just <br />having a list in the Hall for the people to look at. Crystal stated that copies <br />were neceasary for political things. After discussion, Mr. L'Allier stated <br />that Mr. Locher had suggested that any request for a list should be brought to <br />the Council for an Okay. <br />Mr. Clausen of Baldwin Lake Road stated that a petition had been brought around <br />which was against the no- shooting proposed for the SW corner of,the Village. <br />He stated that -he wouldn't sign it because he doesn't want any hunting there, <br />but he felt that people should be allowed to shoot at clay pigeons if they <br />wished with the owners permission.
