Cardinal moved to authorize Mr. Rosengren to get prices on painting <br />and staining the interior doors and trim in the new building, and to have this by the <br />meeting on the 30th. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried unanimously. <br />The matter of drapes was discussed. Mr. Rosengren moved to have the Clerk call a few <br />Maces forbids on drapes for the new building, prices with and without installation for <br />fiberglass and rods. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. <br />The discussion returned to the platform in the - Council Chambers. It was mentioned that <br />this could be done later, but would mess up the carpeting. It was decided that Mr. <br />Rosengren would check around for more bids on the platform to present Monday night. It <br />was noted that the eliminations on the Mattson bid would not amount to much. The Clerk <br />was asked to have at least 2 persons dealing in office equipment to be at the special <br />meeting. <br />Mr. L'Allier moved to hire Richard Allan Juleen as the new assistant constable (to <br />replace Wm. Anderson who left) effective as soon as Mr. Juleen can start. Seconded by <br />Mr. Bohjanen. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Locher reported that a contract for the well had been drawn up•with Ernie Ludwig <br />Well Drilling since the screen to be provided by Mr. Sampson was only 2u in diameter and <br />would seriously restrict the flow of water. Mr. Sampson would have charged an additional <br />$225£or a 4" screen. Mr. Ludwig's insurance certificate was here and all was in order. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to authorize the contract with Mr. Ludwig be executed by the Mayor <br />and the Clerk. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. 4Mr. Locher noted that <br />if additional pipe were needed, on a footage basis it would be 5Iq per foot less from <br />Mr. Ludwig than from Mr. Sampson. <br />Mr. Locher stated that at the request of the Clerk he had checked on the question of <br />extra insurance on motor vehicles owned by personnel while on business use for the Village; <br />these would include vehicles for the Clerk, the Assessor, the Building Inspector and all <br />of the Council. These persons could write to their own insurance companies to see if <br />the6 are covered on Village business. Mr. Locher stated that the Village is covered in <br />case of an accident, but this surplus insurance would cover the individual as well. The <br />Clerk stated that she had gotten.a price from Mr. Ray as follows:, Village use twice a <br />week -- $45 per 6 months. Mr. Locher stated that he had talked with Mr. Ray who would <br />not guarantee that the individuals were covered. Mr. Locher felt that if persons were <br />on Village business then the Village should uover them. <br />Mr. L'Allier stated that we should get a letter from Mr. Ray clarifying the specifies <br />of our current policies as to whether the Councilmen, the Clerk, the Assessor and the <br />Building Inspector are covered in their own vehicles while on Village business; that <br />we want something from the Company. <br />The matter of municipal license fees was on the agenda. Mr. Bohjanen stated that he <br />would like more time to study this. The matter will come up at a later date. <br />Al Dupre stated that he had been contacted by Molin Concrete who wished to only put up <br />one building now. It was decided that the Building Inspector should contact Molin, <br />telling them to come back to the P&Z to talk about their plans after they have presented <br />same to the Engineer and the Planner. The Clerk was asked to pull the file on Molin <br />Concrete for Mr. Cardinal. <br />
