6 <br />11/30/70 <br />W. Rosengren moved to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign the Change Order #2 papers. <br />Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried unanimously.. <br />After discussion, Mr. Jaworski moved to- authorize Ken Miller to get 2 bids on the <br />floor tile for the road foreman's office, to choose the low bidder, to have the <br />tile laid, and to give the names and prices to the Clerk. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. <br />Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Rosengren moved to accept the bid of Ken Miller in the amount of 4280, to build <br />a dies in the Council Chambers, size to be 109(26'X14" high, wth one step on both <br />sides; the work to be done immediately. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried unanimously. <br />Carpeting was discussed as was the possibility of cleaning service rather than our <br />own crew, and the purchase of a vacuum cleaner. It was decided to set another special <br />meeting fornext Monday at 8:00,p.m. at the Hall. <br />The Clerk will check out some used office furniture. It was decided to let the chairs <br />for the Council Chambers wait for a while. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to adjourn at 11:33 p.m. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski.• Carried <br />unanimously. <br />Minutes approved at the meeting of December 14, 1970 <br />Clerk - asurer. <br />12/7/70 <br />The special meeting of the Lino Lakes Village Council held on December 7, 1970, <br />was called to order at 8:28 P.M. by Mayor L'Allier with all members present as <br />well as 4 members of the Building Committee. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to waive the requirements of regular notice of this meeting. <br />Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried unanimously. <br />Mayor L'Allier noted that at the last meeting we had left off With designating <br />persons to check various prices; these would now be discussed. <br />Mr. Rosengren reported on prices for tile for the restroom floors and showed <br />samples. W. Jaworski moved to purchase tile No. 012 -21 Spartan from Menne Tile <br />$4.85 per yard. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried unanimously. <br />Samples of tile for the shop office were inspected. Mr. Cardinal moved to get the <br />Armstrong #51830 in Cottage Tan from Circle Linoleum for a total cost of $66.40. <br />Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried unanimously. Ken Miller recommended rubber base. <br />After discussion, W. Cardinal moved to award the contract for painting and staining <br />all the woodwork and doors to Wallace Anderson, the low bidder, at a cost of $346. <br />Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Cerrid unanimously. <br />Carpet samples were inspected. Three prospects in the $6 -7 class were chosen for <br />final consideration; namely; .1. #88 Dark Olive Gold in Casanova at $6.50 per <br />yard from Mr. Oliver Lind of North Branch; 2. #453 Gold in Dandy at $6.90 per <br />yard from Don Johnson; and, 3. #2238 Golden Brown in Instant Replay from Ken <br />Schoeller at $6.70 per yard. Delivery varied from 2.weeks on the first two to one <br />.day on the third.. choice. A detailed comparison of these three samples was made. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to buy carpet choice No. 3, above, Golden Brown #2238 in <br />Instant Replay from Ken Schoeller at $6.70 per yard installed.
