2/8/71 <br />Mr, Jaworski stated that he had many questions raised concerning the increase <br />in gas rates by North Central Public Service Co. It was his understanding <br />that the raise was to be some 4 %, but after checking gas billings, it seemed <br />more like 8 %. There was some discussion: 'Mr. Locher will check further <br />into the matter. <br />W. Rosengren had little to report on the roads, but noted that they should <br />get the oiling program for 1971 ready in the next month so they could get <br />estimate* made. <br />Mr. Rosengren reported that the canopy had been completed in the garage. <br />The concensus of the members was that this looked good. <br />Mr. <br />Rosengren stated that he had picked up drapes and rods fro Wards today, <br />the total amounting to some $215. Mr. Jaworski and Mr. Cardinal volunteered <br />to hang the drapes on Thursday evening. <br />Mr. L'Allier stated that questions on emergency snowplowing bad arisen; <br />since we have nothing in the ordinances on what constitutes an emergency <br />he wished to have W. Locher check this out. After discussion, W. L'Allier <br />moved to have Ni. Locher check out the emergency snowplowing and draft an <br />ordinance regarding same. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. <br />Jaworski inquired whether we use a grader nowt for winging; Mr. Rosengren <br />stated that there was slight use, particularly on adjoining riads serviced <br />by two entities. There was discussion on some trouble spots. <br />Mr. Bohjanen stated that he has a request for a :beer permit for the CD <br />Auxiliary for the Open House on Saturday. Also, he wished to know where <br />the Council felt the coffee should be set up. It was decided that the coffee <br />stand would be located along the wall in the Council Chambers. Plastic <br />will be placed on the floor to protect the carpet; sufficient styrofoam cups <br />are available. <br />Ur. Bohjanen reported that he had sent out over 600 invitations including <br />all registered voters and 74 dignitaries. He had missed 3, but would take <br />care of the oversight immediately. He felt that they were pretty will lined. <br />up. Mr. P.osengren volunteered several tables to use. After discussion, <br />Mr. Bohjanen will contact the T•ixington Fire Dept. for extra chairs, Ur. <br />T.'Allier will ask the Centerville Fire Dept. for same. <br />Mr. Cardinal inquired whether the people would be allowed to inspect the <br />entire building during the dance or whether this end of the building would <br />be closed off. Mr. Rohjanen felt that it should be left open since some of <br />the people here in the evening would not have attended the afternoon session. <br />However, the Clerk's office is to be locked for the evening. Persons who <br />wish may use the phone in the shop office. <br />�r. Bohjanen stated that due to being ill over the weekend, he was a little <br />late in getting the information guide to the printer. However, if he has it <br />in by tomorrow night, they guaranteed that it would be brought out by <br />SAturdAy morning. It was decided that 1000 copies would be sufficient. <br />mi. Bohjanen moved to authorize the CD Auxiliary to have a beer permit on <br />Saturday, Feb. 13 from 8 P.M. to closing. Seconded by W.
