2 3/8/71 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Village Council held on March <br />8,1971 was called to order at 8:02 by Mayor L'Allier, with all membes <br />present except Mr. Rosengren who arrived late. A capacity crowd was <br />in attendance. <br />A letter from Commiasionew Burman congratulating us on our new Hall <br />was read. A letter from the Metro Sewer Board was left to be dis- <br />cussed under Mr. Gotwald's report. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to release the bond for Marvin Rehbein Contracting <br />for a borrow pit on the Lloyd Erickson farm. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. <br />Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to authorize the renewal of the following sign permits <br />providing they meet the approval of the Engineer and ,the Building Inspector: <br />Meyer Sign Service, No. A,B,&C; Naegele Outdoor Advertising, No. D,E,F,&G. <br />(these are all freway signs). Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried Unanimously. <br />Mr. Cardinal reported that the Council and the Personnel Commission had met <br />on the recommendations for a full -time man. He had received additional <br />information from 3 other villages and expected to receive more from 2 others. <br />Mr. L'Allier asked the other CoUncil members to contact other sources for <br />similar information. it was decided that the Council would discuss the <br />matter further at a meeting on Tuesday, March 16th at 8:00 P.M. The Clerk <br />was asked to run off copies of this material for the members prior to the <br />meeting. Mr. L'Allier noted that the Council had budgeted for a full -time <br />man this year, and that the Personnel Commission had recommended hiring one, <br />possibly, two full -time men. <br />Mr. Cardinal stated that the Personnel Commission had met following the <br />session with the Council and had requested that they be made inactive, as of <br />now subject to recall later if they were needed. This was agreeable; Mr. <br />L'Allier asked that letter of thanks be sent to the Personnel Commission <br />members for their services. <br />Mr. Jaworski had no report; W. Rosengren had not yet arrived; Mr. Bohjanen <br />had no report. <br />Mr. L'Allier read the police report for February as follows: 2,300.2 miles <br />drived, 207 business and home checks, 20 complaints (snowmobile), 10 assists <br />to/by other departments, 11 accidents including 1 snowmobile accident, 6 <br />assists to motorist, 6,thefts amounting to $4,980, 3,esca_ees returned to <br />the Youth Center taking 1/2 hour. Mn.. L'Allier noted that the Clerk had <br />nearly finished the tabulation of the time spent by the Police Department <br />at the Youth Center in 1969 and 1970 and the compensation report on behalf <br />of the Council to the Legislature, through Rep. Vern Plaisance and Sen. <br />Stan Thorup. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. L'Allier moved that we pass a resolution that Lino Lakes go on record <br />favoring House File #965 which would tax all mobile homes as real property <br />as well as require a $3 annual registration not being completed until the taxes <br />were paid. Mr. Rosengren arrived. There was some discussion with Mr. <br />L'Allier noting that the bill was sponsered by the League. Seconded by <br />Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. <br />
