Mr. L'Allier stated that we were told <br />they would contract the park polioing from either_the n hboring municipalities <br />or the county. <br />The bills were audited, Mr. Bohjanen noted that a tex- exempt No. was needed <br />on the bills to Cy's Mens Wear. W. Bohjanen moved to pay the bills as <br />audited. W. Jaworski seconded. Carried unanimously. <br />W. Cardinal noted that he had been checking the bills for some time and had <br />come to the conclusion that we had spent too much time and money on the Ford <br />tractor and that this should cease. W. Rosengren stated that we should have <br />to replace it with something; he felt it was worth $1200. W. Jaworski felt <br />we should sell it. Discussion continued on this subject. <br />Mr. L'Allier moved to authorize W. Myhre to attend another advanced Care <br />Course at a cost of some $25.00. Seconded by W. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. <br />There was more discussion on purchase of a tractor, with both W. Jaworski <br />and W. Rosengren feeling that we should get something with sufficient <br />power to handle a snowblower and a large mower. <br />W. Bohjanen moved to adjourn at 9:23 P.M. Seconde Mr. Jawors.'. Aye <br />Minutes approved at the meeting of March 22, 197 Li'iiJ <br />" Clerk- Treasurer <br />3/22/71 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Village Council held on March 22, 1971 was <br />called to order at 8 :04 P.M. by Mayor L'Allier with all members present. <br />The minutes of the special March 15th meeting on specifications for a full time <br />man were not considered since the meeting had been informal. <br />The Clerk reported that $1,250 had been received from exempt personal property tax. <br />She presented the renewal application for sign permit No. D,1 from Brede, Inc. <br />noting that this was the sign which had been discussed at tfie last P&Z meeting. <br />Mr. Bratland of the company had indicated on the phone that they had received <br />permission from the State Highway Dept. to use a gate in the freeway fence in <br />order to erect the sign. <br />A letter from the County Auditor's office stated that the Board of Commissioners <br />had approved the sale of the four parcels of land which the Village had requested <br />prior to the tax sale last summer. The total charge would be $44.20 if all par- <br />cels were placed on one deed or $53.20 if they were placed on 4 separate deeds. <br />After discussion W. Bohjanen moved to proceed with the purchase of the following <br />parcels: Lots 8,9,&10 of Block 3, Nordin Manor, and Parcel #4650 of Section 15, <br />for park and playground purposes or as, per the Engineer's recommendation, a <br />ponding area, if necessary; with the four parcels to be placed on one deed. <br />Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. Carried unanimously. <br />Copies of a letter from Joseph Cook to the Metropolitan Sewer Board regarding <br />Lino Lakes' sewer assessment charges were passed around, Mr. .INllier noted that <br />Council had gone on record that we would not pay the assessment if there were no <br />flowage. Mr. Cook had asked the Sewer Board to drop the charges for Lino Lakes <br />in 1971 since there would be no flowage. He will let Mr. L'Allier know if we <br />need to testify at the hearing concerning this. <br />
