from $10,000 to $5,000. An additiona $3000 for new furniture and equipment in the <br />Hall will be added to the policy. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to have the Clerk and Deputy Clerk total up Mr. Ray's prices on <br />the current policies. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Breher stated that we could run out a 3 or 4 months payment schedule on the <br />package insurance. <br />The Clerk was instructed to ask Mr. Rey for a package price with a lump sum to <br />be paid on an annual basis. Mr. Locher commented that an Attorney General's opinion <br />stated that municipalities do not have to insurance out on bids. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to pay the bills as audited including bills for the bonds and <br />insurance for which checks had not yet been written, Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. <br />Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. L'Allier noted that the Clerk had been authorized to make the loan for the 1971 <br />Chevrolet truck. The loan had been made for $11,500 at a rate of 5 1/2% add -on <br />which is computed as 10% by the Truth in Lending Law. Mr. Cardinal moved to authorize <br />this loan, including that there would be no penalty if it were paid off at an <br />earlier date, also authorizing the Mayor and the Clerk to sign the contract. Seconded <br />by Mr. Rosengren. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Rosengren asked about the plumbing ordinance. Mr. Cardinal mentioned that the <br />P&Z were planning to review the building code including parts of the plumbing code. <br />Mr. Rosengren stated that if plumbers could go by the State code they could save <br />$300 per home; he felt plastic pipe was quite adequate. There was considerable <br />discussion. The Council asked that the P&Z put the Plumbing Code on their agenda soon. <br />Mr. Jaworski mentioned an item of old business, namely the property at the corner of <br />old Hwy 8 and Elm Stree. The owners have been asked to clean the property and fill <br />in the basement, but haven't and people are still complaining. Some of the trees <br />look dead. Mr. Locher suggested that we have Mr. Astrup and Mr. Hutchison from the <br />County Health Dept. check the property; then if the work is not done they can file <br />a complaint, Mr. Jaworski moved to contact Mr. Astrup to have a look at the <br />property and report to the property owners. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to adjourn a 11:53 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Aye. <br />Minutes approved at the meeting of April 12, 197 <br />
