12 <br />Mr. Gotwald stated that there may be some future problems if we allow partial maintenance <br />on Mr. Hansen's road. After much discussion it was decided to hold a special informal <br />meeting with the Bldg. Inspector, Village Attorney, Village Enginner, Co. Eng. and the <br />newly appointed Road Study Board, on Sat., Feb. 17, 9 AM at the Village Hall to <br />further discuss this matter and to clarify the situation with several other streets <br />in the Village which may fall into the same category. <br />Mr. Rosengren moved that we authorize the Clerk to purchase 3 copies of reduced -size <br />maps from the Altas 6o. at $25 apiece. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried. <br />It was decided to file the letter from the State Hwy. Dept. regarding the released haul <br />roads, none of which belong to Lino Lakes, but to the County. <br />Mr. Gotwald reported that 35W projects had been set back 6 mo due to recent cutbacks. <br />However, 35W will be open up to Hwy. 8 this fall with one approach only. <br />A letter from Mr. Lundheim stated that the Co. Hwy. Dept. will make their purchasing <br />power available to the Village on road surfacing, culverts, etc. <br />Mr. Rosengren moved that the Village of Lino Lakes authorizing the raising of the <br />salaries of the Clerks of the Municipal Court as requested by Judge Krafts by 25fi per <br />hour retroactive to Jan. 1, 1968, and effective to Sept. 1, thus giving the Chief Clerk <br />$250 per hour and Deputy Clerk $2.25/hr. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried. <br />It was decided to discuss the proposed increased rates for Village Engineer at the <br />Saturday meeting. <br />Mr. L'Allier reported on the Anoka Association of Municipalities. <br />Mr. L'Allier moved that we give permission to use the Village Hall on Tues., Feb. 20, <br />for a conference of S.E. Anoka County Republican Club. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. <br />Carried. <br />The following persons were nominated for a Road Study Board: Mr. Bohjanen nominated <br />Mr. Lee Robinson; Mr. L'Allier nominated Mr. LeRoy Houle; Mr. Jaworski nominated Mr. <br />Ken Youker: Mr. Cardinal nominated Mr. Dennis Houle and Mr. Rosengren nominated Mr. <br />Al Ross. Mr. Bohjanen then moved that the Council follow these recommendations and <br />accept these men for the Road Study Board. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Carried. <br />Mr. Dennis Houle, present, was appointed temporary chairman of the Road Study Board <br />until a permanent chairman could be selected. <br />A letter from Mr. Arnold Kelling was read stating his resignation from all boards ex- <br />cept the P&Z. Mr. L'Allier moved that we accept Mr. Kelling's resignation and appoint <br />Mr. David Brovold to fill the resulting vacancy on the Personnel Commission. Seconded <br />by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried. <br />Mr. L'Allier read the following police report: Mr. Raymond put in 49 hours, Mr. West <br />30 hours, and Mr. Myhre 45 hours. This included 2 medical assists, 1 hospital run, <br />25 phone calls, 3 domestic calls, 1 Youth Center runaway, 4 tickets, no dog calls. <br />Travel: 802 miles. <br />Minutes of the police and mayor meeting with the public were read. <br />The council went on record as opposing the public reading of the convictions shown on III <br />the Municipal Court report sheet. <br />Mr. Rosengren mentioned that they now had the required signs for slow- moving trucks. <br />
