1 <br />Mr. Jaworski mentioned that Mr. Ray had been asked to be present at the next Park Board <br />meeting on Feb. 19. He also stated that the floor in the warming house at Lino Park <br />had been fixed. The pressure switch on the water pump at Sunrise Park has also been <br />fixed. <br />Mr. Bohjanen gave a report of the last C&BDC meeting, mentioning that all work was com- <br />pleted on the entrance signs except the permission to locate the last one at the inter- <br />section of Hwys 8 and 49. They are working through Sen. Grieg and Gov. LeVander to <br />obtain such permission from the State Hwy. Dept. Planned projects for 1968 include: <br />postal identity for Lino Lakes, work on solid wastes disposal pending the Co. report, <br />work with the Coon Creek Watershed, community and industrial development, getting the <br />reasons from a list of local developers why they haven't gone ahead in Lino and evalu- <br />ating same, getting together with local snowmobile groups to plan trails, etc., working <br />with the Road Study Board and also on the sewer study in Lakeview. The newly elected <br />officials are: Mr. Wm. Bohjanen -- Chairman, Mr. Cliff Ross- -Vice Chairman and Mrs. <br />Sally Michaud -- Secretary. The entrance signs had been completed at a cost of approx- <br />imately $50 each instead of the allotted $65. The next C&BDC meeting will be March 6 <br />at 8 PM with Mr. Bill Davenport, chairman of the Roseville Chamber of Commerce, speaker. <br />The 1968 Information Guide is nearly ready for printing. <br />Mr. Bohjanen mentioned that the four easements for the signs were ready for signing and <br />will be filed at the Village Hall. <br />Mr. Bohjanen mentioned that he had been contacted by Acton Construction Co. about <br />purchasing property on the east side of the Village and rezoning of same. They will <br />meet with the P&Z on February 21st. <br />Mr. L'Allier thanked the C&BDC for the signs. <br />Mr. Cardinal brought up for discussion the property rented by Mrs. Betts having the <br />following legal description: Lot #2, East 240 feet of Lot 1, Otter Lake Hills, Lino <br />Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota. After considering the Enginner's and Bldg. Inspector's <br />recommendation of condemning the building and trailer house and tearing these down as <br />there is no evidence that they are being used and they are a hazard to neighborhood <br />children. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried. Letters will be sent to the trailer <br />owner and Mr. L. H. Mikeworth, Mrs. Betts' atty. <br />Mr. Rosengren reported that the road crew had done some sanding and a minimum of snow- <br />plowing. He stated also that Sunrise Avenue between Rustic Lane and Elm St was only <br />40' wide and should be widened to 60'1 It would be necessary to remove the trees lining <br />the street (should be done now) and to remove the stumps and ditch later. Mr. Ros- <br />engren was authorized to negotiate with St. Joseph's Church and Mrs. Josephine Husnik <br />about removing the trees and to report at the next meeting. If the tree work is to <br />be done, a new chairs saw is necessary. <br />Mr. Rosengren stated that new tires for the Ford tractor would cost $64.50 each plus <br />installation and addition of fluid if we use our old tubes. <br />The Council authorized Mr. Rosengren to order culverts at the present price and pay later. <br />Mr. Rosengren mentioned that Centerville is naming and numbering their streets in ro- <br />tation with ours. Some of these do run into Lino Lakes. <br />Mr. Rosengrenalso mentioned that there may be a buyer for the property on Sunset which <br />has the concrete block garage. <br />
