2 7 <br />A letter from the Anoka Co Hwy Engineer, Jake Lundheim, was read, stating that <br />Baldwin Lake Road and adjoining Town Road were merely easements and the County had <br />no responsibility for maintenance. Mr. Locher stated that he had talked to Mr.' <br />Lundheim again and they will check further on this. <br />Mr. Bohjanen made a motion that check No. 1695 written to Uniforms Unlimited in the <br />amount of $241.45 be voided. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Carried. <br />Letters from the State on assessments and the Anoka Co Assn of Municipalities on an <br />area salary survey were read and filed. <br />Mr. Jaworksi stated that the NW Citizen's Band Club had changed the dates from Aug. <br />23 -5 to the 3,4 & 5th of Aug. due to the State Fair. Also, the tree work was finished <br />at Sunrise. <br />Mr. Bohjanen mentioned that the solid -waste disposal questionaire from the county <br />had been completed and returned. He also discussed the Rise Creek watershed problem <br />and that meetings with Fridley to find a basis for agreement would be necessary be- <br />fore anything could be done county -wide. Also, we need someone to represent the lakes <br />area, not just the cities. <br />Mr. Bohjanen will check with Mr. Ray on price for insurance on entrance signs, <br />primarily vandalism. <br />Mr. Rosengren reported that within a 15 -mile radius there had been about 500 fire <br />calls, and that the State had directed that no burning permits be issued. He also <br />felt that the Village should have 6 of the pump sprayers which may be borrowed by <br />anyone needing them. The 4 that we have are rather worn. <br />The drainage problems on 64th werediscussed. Mr. Gotwald will contact Lindberg <br />Construction to correct the grade and repair their damage. Mr. Scherer declared <br />that they were to have done this as soon as they were through hauling, but had left <br />as is. The road has not been accepted yet by the State, and the bond is still out. <br />Mr. Gotwald spoke on possible corrections for Sunrise Ave and also on widening it. <br />There are several problems due to original assessments; Mr. Locher will check on <br />these. Some 9,000 yards of dirt will have to be moed to level the grade, trees <br />removed and the surveying checked between Glenview and Elm. <br />Mr. Cardinal introduced Don and Bud Rogalla who asked for permission to move in a <br />new permanent trailer home for their parents who had lost their home in a fire. Mr. <br />Cardinal moved, after much discussion, to set up a special hearing with the P&Z <br />and the Council on April 29 for the purpose fo deciding whether to issue a con- <br />ditional special use permit to the Rogallas for the permanent trailer home, pro- <br />viding that it states it is for their use only and not to be sold on the property, <br />and the necessary notices are posted.. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren, Carried. <br />The Bloomquist brothers appeared to inquire why they had not received notification <br />of the final approval of their plat for Bloomquist Addition. The Engineer and <br />the Attorney had checked and found all in order and there were no restrictions on <br />having lots for sale at the present time. The Clerk was instructed to check the <br />minutes and send a letter of notification to Mr. Bloomquist. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Johnson of Centerville were present to inquire about getting <br />a building permit for their property off of Baldwin Lake Road which has a private <br />easement to the road. This would have to be a private driveway with no Village <br />maintenance „the deed stating the same. Mr. Bohjanen made a motion, seconded by <br />
