1 <br />Mr. Rosengren asked whether we might make an ordinance covering pipelines and <br />buried cables, limiting them to one pipe and a certain amount of footage. Mr. <br />Locher will check on sample ordinances from the League. <br />The proposed - thoroughfare map was turned over to Dennis Houle for study by the Road <br />Study Board. When they have finished the map will be hung on the wall at the Village <br />Hall. <br />Mr. L'Allier mentioned some of the statistics given at the airport hearing that day; <br />the testimony given seemed to favor the Ham Lake site; the Isanti site was considered <br />to be too'far from the metropolitan centers to be given any serious thought. The <br />aircraft which will be using the new airport will be among the largest yet devised <br />including the jumboes. (Mr. Jaworski left the meeting due to a family emergency.) <br />Mr. L'Allier moved that Lino Lakes adopt a resolution that we request the Metropolitan <br />Airport Commission, with copies to surrounding villages, the county attorney and <br />county commissioner, requesting copies of the Noise- exposure Contour Chart, exhibits <br />28 -A and 28 -B, if possible, superimposed upon a map of the communities directly off <br />and adjacent to the proposed airport and that this be sent prior to April 29th. <br />Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried. <br />The police reported that they had checked the Leo Peppin property and found 6 cars <br />and 1 truck on the premises; Mr. Peppin was not in. Mr. Rosengren mentioned that <br />Mr. Hoffman had offered to haul these out. <br />It was also reported that Mr. Ford on Hwy 49 had hauled out 30 tons of scrap so far <br />and had 3 loads to go. He will be asked to move his commercial trucks back further <br />off the road. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved that 30 mph signs be installed on W. Rondeau Lake Road. Seconded <br />by Mr. Rosengren. Carried. <br />Mention was made of road signs which were missing along with a question on the progress <br />of issuing house numbers. <br />Mr. West asked whether the CD could be called out when there are escapees from the <br />Youth Center. This will be talked over at the next police meeting. <br />Mr. Anderson has been cleaning up the property next to Mr. Rosengren. <br />Mrs. Bohjanen asked whether the CD members would be covered by insurance or workmen's <br />compensation if they are in the police car or on police work. The Clerk will ask <br />Mr. Ray about this. <br />Mr. Scherer asked whether there was insurance on CD members delivering brochures <br />and information guides, etc. Mr. Bohjanen stated that this constitutes part of <br />their training. <br />Mr. Harold Lehman inquired whether the blue herons on Reshenau Lake would be protected <br />if a developer comes in there. Mr. L'Allier stated that the prospective developer <br />currently involved had seemed concerned aboutthis. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved that the bills be paid as audited. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried. <br />Mr. Cardinal made the motion, seconded by Mr. Rosengren to adjourn at 10:51 P.M. <br />Carried. <br />
