Also, that the <br />Council will meet with MAC officials in their executive offices on May 28 at 8 P.M. <br />Mr. L'Allier read a letter from the Centennial Welcome Wagon organization inviting <br />notification of all new area residents by calling 784 -9412. <br />The next police meeting was announced for June 3. <br />Mr. L'Allier spoke on the committee which is to meet with the Youth Center personnel <br />and listed the program committees formed and which members would chair each of these. <br />Thi# is patterned after the mayors committee formed for the Red Wing institution; <br />hopefully some form of bill will be ready for the 1969 session of the Legislature and <br />some recommendations made to the Youth Center with regards to the observations <br />of the committee. <br />Mayor L'Allier appointed Mr. Harold Lehman to replace Luther LeVesseur on the Park <br />Board with term ending December 31, 1968. Motion made by Mr. Cardinal, seconded <br />by Mr. Rosengren, that the appointment of Mr. Lehman be ratified. Carried. <br />Mayor L'Allier appointed Mr. John McLean to replace Jay Cox on the P&Z with term <br />ending December 31, 1970. Mr. Bohjanen moved that the appointment of Mr. McLean <br />be ratified. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried. <br />The appointments for the two vacancies oeeuring on the P&Z as of July first <br />were held off until next meeting. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to approve the minutes as corrected. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. <br />Carried. <br />An answer from the County Highway Department denied the requested streetlights on <br />three intersections involving county roads in Lino Lakes. The Clerk was instructed <br />to write the State Highway Department about the problem and stating that the new <br />highways have created some potentially dangerous intersections. <br />
