5 4_ <br />Mr. L'Allier announced that the airport meeting of MAC was the next day and <br />that the special hearing for Blomquist Addition was set for July 17th. Also, <br />Mr. West was coming along fine and could be expected home the end of the week. <br />The police report for June was as follows: travel 904 miles, 1 accident, 2 <br />medicalassists, 2 dog bites attended, 3 tickets issued and 101 hours put on <br />the car. <br />W. L'Allier announced that the Civil Defense float had been in the Forest Lake <br />Fourth of July Parade and also in the North Suburban Celebration parade in which <br />it had again won a trophy for best float. The Civil Defense has also been <br />asked to enter their float in the Forest Lake Diamond Jubilee Celebration and <br />the Aquatennial parades. He thanked the Civil Defense for the good work. <br />L'Allier read some excerpts from the latest Metropolitan Planning Commission <br />Report giving figures on expected population increases, etc. Mr. Bohjanen <br />wondered why there was no mention of the MAC airport expansion in the report <br />since this has been in the planning since 1955. <br />W. Dennis Houle stated that he felt the Council should reconsider the joint <br />purchase of the packer with Columbus, that there are several advantages to sole <br />ownership. <br />W. Pete Scherer felt that the Assistant County Assessor had given the wrong <br />information at the Board of Review meeting as far as revenue from trailer courts <br />goes. He gave figures indicating that the Village had received very little in <br />revenue so far from the court. W. Gotwald said that the present trend is to <br />locate trailer courts in the fringe areas. <br />W. Cardinal moved to accept the Road Study Board minutes as :read. Seconded <br />by W. Jaworski. Carried. <br />W. Jaworski moved to pay the bills as audited. Seconded by W. Bohjanen. <br />Carried. <br />W. Jaworski moved, with second by Mr. Rosengren to adjourn at 10:28 P.M.
