1 <br />107 <br />The Lino Lakes Village Council meeting of December 23, 1968 was called to order by <br />Mayor L'Allier at 8:12 p.m. with all members present except Mr. Rosengren who arrived <br />late. <br />The following corrections were made to the December 9 minutes: Page 2, paragraph 3 -- <br />last sentence should read - -Mr. L'Allier mentioned that we should be sure that the <br />County plows Harold Hansen's road. Page three, paragraph eight should read -- Mr. <br />Jaworski moved to authorize the purchase of outside telephone bells with a cut -off <br />switch to be used at the Constable's homes. Page four -- paragraph three, last sentence <br />should read - -He also asked that the names of owners of unsightly property be given to the <br />police department for inspection. Mr. Jaworski moved to accept the December 9, 1968 <br />minutes as corrected. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to approve cigarette license applications for the following: <br />Henry Rosengren, Ruth Cegla, Henry J. Speiser, and Jimmy C. Aragon. Seconded by Mr. <br />Bohjanen. Carried. <br />The 1969 bid from the animal control officer, Bruce Fleming, was read; there was no <br />change over that of 1968. <br />The Clerk stated that the following persons still had outstanding fees: Mr. Wm. Bloom - <br />quist, Mr. Ed Wiener, Mr. R. A. Claggett, and Mr. Florian Kedrowski. Mr. Cardinal moved <br />that the Clerk send letters to these persons reminding them of overdue fees. Seconded <br />by Mr. Rosengren. Carried. <br />After presenting the materials on voter registration provided by the League, the Clerk <br />was asked to contact Mrs. Kuderling to see whether there was a printer who had the card <br />forms already set up for printing. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to authorize the purchase of 100 auto theft report blanks for the <br />police. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried. <br />The Clerk presented the estimated fund balances for December 31, 1960, showing the ex- <br />pected liquor license receipts, etc. along with a transfer of $5,000 from Parks to Roads <br />resulting in the following: General -- $2120; Parks -- $3284; Roads- -$950; Gopher- -$792; <br />Fire -- $2546; Civil Defense - -$688; Debt Redemption -- $7745; Total funds -- $18,125 about <br />$10,378 above December 31, 1967. No action was taken on the transfer. Mr. L'Allier <br />thanked the Council members for their efforts in holding down the spending in 1968. <br />The Clerk mentioned that Mr. Goebel of Art Goebel Ford in Coon Rapids had stated that <br />the 1949 truck traded to them had probably been junked out.; Mrs. LeTourneau had called <br />to state that the wrecked cars had been removed the day after Mr. Myhre had been there <br />and that any other cars on the premises belonged to the new owner or were in Circle Pines. <br />Two single and one double file boxes had been ordered for voter registration cards at a <br />cost of $25.76. A letter announcing a course in "Metropolitan Problems" to be taught <br />at Anoka- Ramsey State Jr. College was read. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to set the office hours for the Clerk - Treasurer for 1969 to be from <br />10 am - 2 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and from 7 -8 p.m. on Tuesday, evenings <br />until June 1, when she will go to a five -day week with the same hours. Seconded by <br />Mr. Rosengren. Carried. <br />The Planning and Zoning Board minutes were read. <br />
