220 <br />There was considerable discussion on the Flanagan piece of road on 64th and the <br />state of affairs with Lindberg Construction on this. Mr. Bohjanen moved that we <br />have the work done on 64th, keeping track of the costs. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. <br />Carried. Pete Scherer suggested that if the road were ditched properly, then the <br />road work wouldn't be needed; also he didn't care to see that end of 64th oiled <br />since the other piece was such a mess. Bill Houle stated that Lindberg plans to <br />be out of the area in another week or two. However, the State holds a bond on <br />Lindberg and a deposit of 10% for a full year. We can attach thru the State. A <br />letter will be sent to the State Hwy. Engineer. Mr. Scherer also stated that the <br />Village could tie in with his suit on Lindberg. <br />A letter was read stating that Mr. Charles Cape had been certified for the Fiscal <br />Year 1970 as Civil Defense Director. This is renewable. Mr. Bohjanen moved that a <br />letter of commendation be sent to Mr. Cape, with copies of this letter as well as <br />the letter received from the State to be sent to the CD and the CD Auxiliary along <br />with copies of the Clerk's letter. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried. <br />Mr. L'Allier reported on the July 14th meeting on police protection held in Lexington <br />with 2 members of the Lexington Council, the Mayor of Circle Pines and himself. It <br />had been suggested that the three Villages pool monies and hire a retired police <br />officer to work with part -time police and our cars. The matter will be pursued <br />further; the original meeting date was set for Aug. 7, but it will be changed, if <br />possible. <br />Mr. L'Allier asked whether anything had been done about the stucco house owned by <br />Dale Movers. The Clerk reported that she had talked with Mrs. Tauer who had told her <br />that they were in the process of selling the land to Hale Movers, that a purchase <br />agreement had been signed. Also, Dale Movers had had a painter in for estimates. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved that the Building Inspector inspect the house, if no work had been <br />started to red tag it. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried. <br />Mr. Locher passed out copies of Ord. No. 39A incorporating all the changes to be made <br />to Ord. 39 on trailer camps. There was discussion of adding e section concerning the <br />use of storage buildings for the trailer owners' use. Mr. Bohjanen moved to accept <br />Ord. 39A as proposed with the addition of Section (u) concerning storage buildings. <br />Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved that a letter be sent to Mr. Bruder asking him to come to the next <br />regular council meeting, reminding him of the other letters, and telling him that he <br />was in violation of the ordinance. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried. <br />Mr. Jaworski mentioned the Uniform Building Code. Mr. Bohjanen stated that he hadn't <br />had sufficient time to study it and would like to study it more; also Mr. Jaworski <br />had not called a meeting. The three persons appointed to study the Code will meet <br />before the next regular meeting. <br />Mr. Locher read the amending change to Ord. 39A mentioning the storage utility <br />buildings and their contents, adding in that 4' by 8' by 6' utility buildings <br />were to be erected for each trailer. Mr. Bohjanen moved to accept this addition <br />to Ord. 39A. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to pay the bills as audited. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 p.m. on a motion by Mr. Bohjanen. Seconded <br />by Mr. Cardinal.
