He had one quote with him:
a Chevrolet truck at $10,725, listing at $13,421, but getting a fleet discount.
This is with the dump and heavy duty throughout, also 4 speed and overdrive with
good seats and power steering. It needed a roof light, but could use our plows
as these are interchangeable. Mr. Rosengren stated that we should have better
equipment; it would not be necessary to have a loader to load it as we don't
load much.
Mr. Rosengren presented material. from Cuckler Buildings. For an insulated, but
not finished building the cost would be about $7.50 per square foot; if half
finished, about $10.00 per square foot. This would include lighting, heat,
plumbing, well, and overhead doors. Mr. L'Allier mentioned that Walter Tauer
had some roof spans that might be used in the building. Mr. Rosengren stated
that these could not be used since the buildings are engineered for their own
parts only; these spans would be for a cement building.
Mr. Rosengren stated that Cuckler had their crew at Princeton now and could come
out and help with the specifications - -there would be no charge for this if we
took their bid. He is also waiting for literature from Lester of Lester Prairie.
It was thought that the cost would run about $100,000. The date of September 9th
was set for an informal meeting to decide on specifications on the building at
8 p.m. Mr. Juleen thought that the building would never pass on the ballot.
Upon questioning, Mr. Locher stated that a builder of apartments would need a
special use permit under our ordinances.
Mr. Locher stated that he had reached Mr. Ridenberg, Attorney for Circle Pines,
who had stated that the settlement of the municipal court property had been
held up by one judge who had thought that they should get the Minn. Statute Books
free.
Mr. Locher had also contacted Mr. Segal of the St. Paul Water Dept. who has signed
the re- drafted agreement on the Baldwin Lake property and has mailed it to Mr. Locher.
The date of October 2nd was set for a meeting with the planner, Mr. Van Housen,
and the P &2. The Clerk will send cards to all and confirm this with Mr. McLean.
Mr. John: Juleen _pre4sented a copy of Ord. No. 68 from Lexington pertaining to fire
prevention and suggested that Lino Lakes adopt the same. Our present ordinance
has no teeth in it. Copies will be sent to the Council and immediately to Mr. Locher
for drafting for discussion next time.
It was decided that the General Fund only would be taken up at the first budget
meeting.
Mr. Bohjanen moved to pay the bills as audited.
