All members present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read, and on motion by Backlin, second by Speiser, were accepted as read. Mr. John Iverson spoke against the permit requested by the Langer's for the dump. Accompanying Mr. Iverson were Mr. & Mrs. Paul Kief, Mrs. Iverson, Mrs. Arthur LaCasse, and Mr. Robinson, all stating they were against the granting of this permit. Mr. Locher stated this matter referred to Ordnance #6 and explained the procedure that would be followed. Domning moved the letter form prepared by the Clerk be used and to start immediately clearing up all outstanding checks. Second by Backlin. Carried unanimously. Backlin moved the council refer to the engineer the request by the Minnesota Pipe Line to cross Rondeau Road with a crude oil line. Second by Anderson, carried unanimously. Backlin reported a letter had been received from the Highway Dept. asking for approval to permit the department to put up Highway "No Parking" signs at the Apple Inn. Backlin moved we notify Sgt. Bell it is alright for these signs to be put up. Carried unanimously. Backlin asked if the Rugroden's were going to pay the attorney fees and engineers fees, as he felt the village should not be responsible. Mr. Locher will check and report to the Council at the next meeting.
