Domning read a letter received from the Minnesota Auto & Truck Salvage Dealers Assn., concerning a conference to be held in St. Paul on the problem of abandoned automobiles. Minute accept * * * * * * * * * -.. 22, 19b5, Clerk Lino Lakes Council meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. on 2/22/65. All members present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read, and on motion by Anderson, second by Backlin, were accepted as read. Domning announced that Emily Rehbein did not wish to continue as Assessor for 1965, and that a new Assessor should be appointed immediately so as to be able to attend the school training session in March. Mrs. Sarner was introduced as being a possible candidate, and was questioned by the Council members as to her qualifications. After discussion, Speiser moved and Backlin seconded that Mrs.sArner be appointed Assessor for Lino Lakes for 1965. Motion carried unan. Treasurer's report was read. Mrs. Dupre also informed the Council that Improvement Bond #1 had been returned from the bank and was now paid in full to date. Three paymeris are left. Attorney Locher folbwed up the above information with a list of the bonds issued, dates issued and the amounts of the bonds. He also indi- cated that the village should set up sinking funds to cover these bonds. Attorney Locher is going to meet with Mr. Campbell, County Auditor, to try and collect hte gopher bounties for the village due from 1964. After discussion on payments due to Lena Billik for park property purchased, Domning moved and Anderson seconded to have the attorney bring the abstract up to date and if a deed is not on record, to obtain one. Motion carried unanimously.
