126 <br />The December 13th meeting of the Lino Lakes Council was called to order <br />at 8:00 p.m. by Mayor Domning. All members present. <br />Backlin moved, Speiser seconded, that minutes be approved as read, motion <br />carried. <br />Rezoning request on property of Vivian Rehbein, 6101 Hodgson Rd., was. <br />heard. Speiser moved we set the hearing for the 10th of January. Backlin <br />seconded. Motion approved. <br />Ross moved we receive the F,pplication of Nathe Bros., for a liquor li- <br />cense, and after a recommendation by the Police Department, and compli- <br />ance by Nathe with bonding and insurance requirements, that we consider <br />approval at our last meeting in December. Backlin seconded. Motion <br />carried. <br />Mayor Burque from Centerville submitted a new fire contract for consi- <br />deration. <br />Mr. Weiner protested the ,I50 fee required for moving a garage into the <br />village, and after discussion of the ordinance, it was determined by <br />motion that he should comply with the ordinance, however, his check <br />would be held pending decision by the Zoning Committee to amend the or- <br />dinance to a graduate scale depending on the size of the building. <br />Pete Scherer questioned the roadwork on 64th Street, whether •the water <br />could be drained away and the road be gravelled before colder winter <br />weather. Mr. Backlin instructed the engineer to check on this situa- <br />tion immediately. <br />Domning moved to have the Clerk write Mrs. Dahinden indicating the <br />feeling of the Council toward purchasing her lot for drainage purposes <br />on Lakeview Ave. Z.elinka seconded. Motion carried. <br />Treasurer's report was read. <br />Letter from Bruce Fleming soliciting dog control business was read, and <br />will be considered at the first meeting in January. <br />Mr. Backlin reported that snow fencing for this winter had been obtained <br />Also asked the Planning and Zoning Committee to seriously consider adopt- <br />ing the ordinance used by Little Canada to help control maintenance and <br />care of village streets and roads used by outside contractors. <br />Backlin also instructed the engineer to check out 'Jest Rondo Lake Road <br />immediately since no graveling had been done yet, and to consider some <br />action to be taken immediately to help drain off the water. <br />Ross suggested we hold a meeting on Friday the 17th with the Auditor to <br />go over the audit report. Clerk will check on this date. <br />Ross also reported he had talked to Mr. Brisson of the Hospital Board, <br />that their meeting will be on the 20th of December, at which time they <br />will appoint a Lino Lakes Representative to their board. <br />Domning moved we appoint Peter Scherer to the Civil Service Board fol- <br />lowing Mr. Backlin's resignation. Second by Ross, carried. <br />
