February 27, 1967 Meeting Continued <br />Jr. L'Allier reported on the Local Consent Law and it was felt that <br />we would lose authority and he made a motion that Lino Lakes goes <br />on record to oppose the Local Consent Law. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. <br />Passed unanimously. Mr. L'Allier to draft letter. <br />Mr. L'Allier discussed the PERA bill. Mr. L'Allier made a motion <br />that Lino Lakes goes on record to oppose this bill. Mr. B tijanen <br />seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. Mr. L'Allier to <br />draft this letter also and it was felt both opposed bills could <br />be combined in one letter. <br />Letter was read opposing Metro Government bill written by Mr. L'Allier <br />and accepted by council. <br />Mr. Rosengren stated snow plowing was going smoothly and soon culvert <br />would have IQ be opened. Mr. Rosengren would check on some trouble <br />Mr. Elmer B""'was having on Nancy Drive. <br />The Clerk read the minutes of the Pa Commission. <br />Mt. Card nal made motion toappoint Roy Stanley to the P&Z Commisdon <br />Seconded by Mr. Ross. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Gotwald asked if it would be proper for the Village tocontract <br />for gravel rather than advertise for bids. Mr. Rosengren made motion <br />to contract for gravel for the year 1967. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Locher read a letter regarding the request of the AT &T to con- <br />struct a tower in the SE corner of our Village. He stated a special <br />use permit would be necessary. Motion made by Mr. Ross that the <br />request be handled by the P&Z Commission on March 15th at an open <br />hearing. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Dupre is to post notices. <br />Mr. Raymond reported the need of a 3rd patrolman. Mr. Ross stated <br />this was in the budget and the name would be Assistant to Constable. <br />Mr. Raymond stated to equip the new job it would cost the Village <br />$184.00. He asked for permission to make up their own first aid <br />it.. Mr. Raymond requested an oxygen tank costing $107.00 for the <br />patrol car. Motion made by Mr. Rosengren to let the Police Dept <br />purchase tie necessary supplies. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Motion made by Mr. L'Allier that Review Board accept, screen and <br />make recom_:endations on applicants for Deputy Clerk and Assistant <br />to Constable, and that applications must be made before 22nd of <br />March so to enade Review Board to make selections before the <br />March 27th regular Village meeting. Mr. Rosengren seconded the <br />Motion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Ross brought up the 3.2 Beer Ord. and stated only a resident <br />of the Village could now sell 3.2 beer on .r off sale. Mr. Rosen- <br />gren made motion that the 3.2 Beer Ord be changed to read that <br />a person applying for a 3.2 Beer license both on or off sale shall <br />be a re dent of Mi:llesota whereas it stated he must be a resident <br />of the lage of Lino Lakes. Mr. L'Allier seconded. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />
