219 <br />Mr. Rollie Anderson, the County Surveyor, spoke on the monument program and explained <br />some of the progress his office has made regarding areas in Lino Lakes. He also in- <br />formed the Village Council that a new county map is being prepared and that it would <br />be available to the Village. He asked for cooperation from the Village officials when <br />he prepares his new map of Lino Lakes. <br />Mr. Rosengren stated the State cleaned the ditches in the Linda St. area. As soon as <br />the tractor is fixed the Village will complete their part of the work on Linda. <br />Mr. Burque requested a culvert on the end of 64th. Mr. Gotwald stated that Mr. Burque <br />should submit a letter to the Council expressing his intent and if he is to foot the <br />cost. Mr. Gotwald said he would contact Mr. Burque. Mr. Pete Scherer was asked to <br />bring photo copy of letter showing Village maintenance of 64th. <br />Mr. Rosengren stated he would report later on street lighting and the purchase of an <br />underground pump. He also sdiated he was negotiating on the Sunrise Ave. extension. <br />Mr. Bohjanen reported that the freeway approach has blowing sand and it was blowing <br />on grass in that area. Mr. Rosengren will inquire of the contractor what he intends <br />to do. <br />Mr. Bohjanen stated the C&BDC would enter a queen in the 4th of July celebration to <br />represent village businessmen. <br />P&Z Board minutes were read. Mr. Cardinal discussed the lessening of road restrict- <br />ions and asked how the Council felt about this. Mr. Cardinal suggested a little <br />group of men should look into this and report back to the Council. Mr. Bohjanen made <br />a motion that the P&Z should recommend approximately 5 men to a study board to study <br />road requirements. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Gotwald and Mr. Dupre were asked to check out Mr. Anderson's development on 4th <br />Ave. north of Main St. and report back to the Council. <br />Mr. L'Allier made a motion that all building permits where the land has not been <br />previously platted should be directed to the P&Z before they are issued. Seconded <br />by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. <br />It was announced that the next meeting of C&BDC would be June 7th and the P&Z would <br />be June 21st. <br />Mr. Gotwald said that the County has not taken over the Hwy 35 service lane and that <br />the service lane has some bad grade features and is somewhat unsafe. Mr. Scherer <br />reported on several instances where near - accidents were just avoided. <br />Mr. L'Allier made a motion that the Engineer and Clerk write to the County Commissioners <br />with copies to the Minn. Hwy. Safety Director and Mr. McGruvie to have them check the <br />grades, and to ask what speed it was designed for. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion <br />carried. <br />Mr. Gotwald stated the overpass on 80th was blacktopped and Mr. Backlin said he would <br />check some of the ditches with the transit. <br />Mr. Raymond was informed to get one more bid on tires for the patrol car. <br />Mr. Locher discussed the setting aside of land for parks or 10% of the value of such <br />land to go into a park fund. <br />Mr. Locher read his letter regarding split liquor fees and informed everyone that fees <br />must be paid in advance of date of issue or before the second half is due and bond <br />must accompany application. <br />
