The request <br />must be known by 30 days before the election in order to prepare the ballots. <br />The C&BDC will send notices of their Oct. 4th meeting to all businessmen in the Village <br />in hopes that they will get together to plan for the Village. <br />Mr. Bill Houle has some 200 acres which he wants studied by the P&Z for rezoning. <br />Mr. L'Allier stated that the Park Board had decided that the bids to fix the roof for <br />$500 -$550 were too high and that they would ask for more bids. <br />It was stated that Mr. Cliff Ross was interested in the position of State Fire Warden. <br />Mr. Locher will check into the procedure for obtaining this position. <br />It was asked whether Mr. Bob Martin's signed contract for the Springsted, Inc. Co. was <br />in. The Clerk should call. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved that we contact the State Hwy Dept. and the State Safety Director to <br />meet with the Council to discuss Hwy 8 and 326, E. Rondeau Lake overpass and surfacing <br />on 35E, 35W at Sunset & Elm and to invite the County Commissioner. Seconded by Mr. <br />L'Allier. Carried. <br />Mr. Cardinal stated that the Planning Board meeting would be on Sept. 20. Also that the <br />AT &T tower was progressing fine. <br />Mr. Locher stated that he had obtained a copy of the Green River Ordinance and would <br />work on an ordinance to protect homeowners from contractors. <br />i <br />Mr. Dupre stated that many Hugo farmers told him the P. 0. Dept. of Hugo has objected III <br />to putting house numbers on mail boxes. Mr. L'Allier will check. <br />Mr. L'Allier moved that the Council authorize Mr. Backlin to purchase and install speed <br />limit signs on Bald Eagle Blvd. and Rolling Hills Dr. after checking with the Engineer. <br />Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried. <br />Mr. Ross suggested that one of the "No Shooting" signs on Hwy 49 be moved to the opposite <br />side of the road. <br />Mr. Ross reiterated that he will not be a candidate for mayor at the next election. <br />Discussion of multiple dwelling structures and their sewage problems followed, this to <br />be taken up by the Planning Board. <br />The police put on 1246 miles in the month of August. Mr. Raymond put in 67 3/4 hours, <br />Mr. West 41 hours and Mr. Myhre 79 hours. <br />Mr. L'Allier moved, on Pete Scherer's suggestion, that the Clerk write a letter to AT &T <br />telling them that the Village would greatly appreciate their putting in a street light <br />by the tower in order to reduce vandalism and promote safety.
