254 <br />The regular meeting of the Village of Lino Lakes was called to order at 8:00 PM on Nov. <br />27, 1967, with all members present. <br />The minutes of the November 13, 1967, meeting were read. A motion was made by Mr. Cardi- <br />nal to accept the minutes as corrected. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried. <br />Minutes of the Special meeting of November 15th were read. Motion made by Mr. Cardinal <br />to accept the minutes as corrected. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried. <br />Motion made by Mr. L'Allier that we ask the Road Dept. to immediately proceed to do mini- <br />mum amount of grading and snowplowing on Maple St. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Carried. <br />Mr. L'Allier made a motion that we give emergency repairs and filling of large holes and <br />emergency snowplowing until Orange Street is accepted by the Village. Seconded by Mr. <br />Rosengren. Motion carried. <br />The Leo Peppin property was discussed. Mr. Bohjanen stated that he had looked over the <br />property and an attempt was being made to clean up the house, and also that Mr. Peppin's <br />children will be moving in shortly. Mr. L'Allier stated that the house needed paint on <br />the outside and that there were still junked cars on the grounds. Mr. Ross asked the <br />constables to check on this property and also on the Wayne Jones property on the east <br />side of Lino Lakes. <br />Mr. Bohjanen reported that the C&BDC was discussing sanitary landfills. He also reported _ <br />that the signs for the Village are just about ready to be installed. He also stated that <br />it had been suggested some time ago that the P&Z study elevation of Village land so that <br />an additional pumping station would not be needed. Mr. Bohjanen asked to have the Engineer <br />explain the sewer report in detail. Mr. Ross asked Mr. Gotwald to attend the next P&Z <br />meeting on Dec. 20th. Mr. Bohjanen asked the Personnel Commission to study whether the <br />Village didn't need a full -time man as the records of disbursements would indicate that <br />this would be feasible. Mr. Bohjanen quoted costs from quarterly reports. <br />Mr. Bohjanen made a motion that we instruct the Personnel Commission to study the feasi- <br />bility of a full -time man for Village purposes, not only for the dollar - saving, also <br />taking into account that we will need part -time employees. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. <br />Motion carried. <br />Mr. Ross asked the Council to consider giving mileage for the Assessor. <br />Mr. Bohjanen asked whether Mr. Locher had received an Attorney General's opinion on the <br />question of Cirele Pines' charging attorney's fees and legal fees to Lino Gas. Mr. <br />Locher is checking on this and will report further at the next meeting. Mr. Locher stated <br />he was in contact with Circle Pines Gas. <br />Mr. L'Allier made a motion that Lino Lakes: }contacts the County Engineer to make a study <br />of traffic on Hwy 8 and Main St. to determine the necessity for installing proper signals <br />at the intersection, also that we would like to have a meeting with the County Engineer <br />as soon as the study is completed. Seoonded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Locher was instructed to check with the County Attorney in Anoka to see what kind of <br />an agreement would have to be made with Ramsey County to plow Rolling Hills Drive and <br />Bald Eagle Blvd. <br />Mr. Rosengren reported that he made an agreement with the County and the Village of <br />Centerville to wit: Lino to plow Peltier Dr. and the County equipment to take care of <br />Centerville Lake Road and 64th. <br />1 <br />
