1 <br />Mr. Rosengren and State Forester from Carlos Avery held a private discussion regarding the <br />selection of a fire warden in the Village of Lino Lakes. Mr. Rosengren stated that the , <br />selection of a fire warden would take place in a month or two. <br />aps of buried cables and pipe lines were discussed by Council members and Clerks and Clerk <br />ormed Council that all maps should be in our hands sometime shortly after the first of <br />the year. <br />Average monthly gas consumption by Village vehicles in 1967 averaged 366 gallons. <br />Village Clerk - Treasurer Norman Miller resigned his post effective January 1, 1968. , <br />Mayor Ross talked over the break -in of the Village~ garage and commended the police force <br />for capture of the offenders. <br />Mr• L'Allier discussed the tax - forfeited land in our Village which could be claimed by the <br />Village for its on use and made a motion that the following resolution be passed: <br />RESOLUTION <br />CANCELLING AND RE- CERTIFYING CERTAIN SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS <br />BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE Village of Lino Lakes that: <br />1HERUS, certain parcels of land in the Village of Lino Lakes have been tax . <br />forfeited, and: <br />NH1EASs the County of Anoka has requested that the outstanding special assess- <br />ments certified against these properties be cancelled and re-assessed in order to <br />facilitate sale of said parcels, <br />NOW THEREFORE, It is hereby resolved that the special assessments an the <br />following described property: and in the following amounts;, <br />E 1/2 of Lots 9 and 10, Block 6$ Lexington Park Lake View <br />Which has assessments of (9) $6.13 and (10) $25.72; <br />Lot 12s Block 8, Lexington Park Lake View which has assessments <br />of $25.72. <br />be and they are hereby cancelled. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the aforementioned special assessments be re- <br />certified upon completion of the land sale and the County shall notify the Buyer <br />of the amount outstanding and said buyer shall work out the payment schedule <br />with the Village of Lino Lakes, <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. L:Allier made a motion that the selection of Clerk- Treasurer and Deputy Clerk be turned <br />over to the Personnel Commission and that ads should be placed in the paper so that names <br />will be available for the next meeting. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried unanimously. <br />III Mr. Locher discussed his talks with Mr. Robt Johnson, Anoka County Attorneys and W. Quail <br />of Ramsey County regarding Ramsey County plowing some of Lino Lakes' village streets. It <br />was felt that if Ramsey Entered into this Anoka County would have to make arrangements and <br />pay Ramsey and in turn bill Lino T .akes. <br />
