He asked that this matter <br />be placed on the next work session agenda. <br />Mr. Aslesen explained that once the consensus of the Council <br />regarding financing is completed, a public hearing will be <br />scheduled on the Park Comprehensive Plan. <br />Council Member Neal asked if park rangers are addressed in the <br />Comprehensive Plan. Mr. Aslesen said no, however there is a <br />proposal for "adopt a park ". <br />Mayor Reinert felt the City Council should be realistic and noted <br />that this is not the time to talk about a referendum. <br />Consider Agenda, May 11, 1992 Council Meeting <br />Mr. Schumacher briefly outlined the agenda. Item No. 8 referred <br />to a proposed ordinance requiring all residences and businesses <br />to subscribe to a collection service. This ordinance will allow <br />this City to meet state mandates by July 1, 1992. Council Member <br />Bergeson asked how this program would be monitored. Mr. Volk <br />said that it will be on a complaint basis. He noted that the <br />next step in the solid waste program is to enact legislation <br />requiring organized collection by January 1, 1993. Mr. Volk <br />noted that about 20% of Lino Lakes residents do not have any form <br />of collection. <br />After further discussion, it was the consensus of the City <br />Council that this matter should be placed on the agenda for May <br />11, 1992. <br />Agenda Item No. 9 - It was noted that a letter of resignation is <br />needed from Ray Johnson. <br />Agenda Item No 10 - Common Ground Subcommittee appointments were <br />discussed. Mayor Reinert suggested that this should be an <br />extension of the Council Liaison position for Public Works and <br />the Police Department. <br />Agenda Item No. 11B - Mrs. Anderson explained that she had been <br />notified of several parcels of property that are going tax <br />forfeit. She will have recommendations for the City Council to <br />consider. <br />Forjay Property - Mr. Schumacher explained that he has received <br />telephone calls regarding the condition of this property and the <br />debris that has been blown from the property.
