The lowest responsible bidder appears to be Arcon
Construction Company. Awarding the bid this evening and getting
the project under contract before September 1, 1992 will avoid
incurring a penalty in loss of State Aid needs of about $40,000.00.
The low bid is approximately $70,000.00 under the engineer's
estimate. The City is currently in litigation with Arcon
Construction Company on another improvement project. The
litigation will have no bearing on the award of this bid.
Council Member Elliott moved to adopt Resolution No. 92 - 98.
Council Member Kuether seconded the motion.
