1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 22, 1993 <br />Department to Tom Thumb. Mrs. Anderson explained that the VFW <br />has reimbursed the Police Department for this expenditure. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to approve the February 22, 1993 <br />Disbursement Listing as amended. Council Member Neal seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried unaniously. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Consideration of Registration for League of Minnesota Cities 1993 <br />Legislative Conference - Council Members Neal and Bergeson will <br />be attending. <br />Consideration of application for Exemption from Lawful Gambling <br />License, St. Joseph Catholic Church - Mrs. Anderson explained <br />that state gambling regulations allow non-profit organizations <br />who conduct fewer than five (5) gambling occassions each year to <br />apply for an exemption from lawful gambling. licensing. <br />St. Joseph Catholic Church normally conducts three (3) gambling <br />occasions each year. The attached application for exemption, if <br />approved, will allow the Men's Club to conduct the annual Easter <br />Bingo. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to approve the Exemption from Lawful <br />Gambling License. Council Member Neal seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Reinert noted that he had received a letter from Larry <br />Williams, 6420 West Shadow Lake Drive commending the Lino Lakes <br />Police Department and the Forest Lake Ambulance service for their <br />speedy assistance when he was injured during the recent sleet <br />storm. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to adjourn at 9:43 P.M. Council <br />Member Neal seconded the motion.
