44 <br />COUNCIL MEETING FEBRUARY 22, 1993 <br />Voting on the motion, motion failed with Council Members Kuether <br />and Bergeson and Mayor Reinert voting no. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to accept the Quad Press as legal <br />newspaper and significant items as outlined by the City <br />Administrator to be published in the Circulating Pines. Council <br />Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Motion carried with Council <br />Members Elliott and Neal voting no. <br />Cable Commission - Council Member Kuether moved to appoint Dan <br />Tesch to this position. Council Member Neal seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Acting Mayor -Council Member Kuether moved to appoint Council <br />Member Neal to this position. Council Member Elliott seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Assessor - Council Member Elliott moved to appoint Anoka County <br />Assessor's office as city assessor. Council Member Neal seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Fiscal Agent - Council Member Kuether moved to appoint <br />Springsted, Inc. as fiscal agent. Council Member Elliott <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Schumacher was asked if the City has ever advertised for this <br />position. Mr. Schumacher explained that bids have been submitted <br />in the past and some have been cheaper. However, the current <br />fiscal agent is very familiar with the City Charter. In addition <br />their relationship to Moody's is important. Mr. Schumacher noted <br />that the City can get by for less, however quality is needed at <br />this time. <br />Animal Control - Council Member Kuether moved to appoint the <br />Anoka County Humane Society as the animal control authority. <br />Council Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Legal Depositories - Mr. Schumacher explained that all <br />investments are bid and the list of depositories submitted to the <br />City Council consist of all agencies that would provide the best <br />service for the City. Council Member Neal moved to approve the <br />list of legal depositories. Council Member Bergeson seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Council Liaison Appointments - Council Member Kuether moved to <br />adopt the following list of Council liasions: Parks Department, <br />Linda Elliott; Solid Waste Department, Linda Elliott; <br />PAGE 6 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
