154 <br />COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 26, 1993 <br />be included with the next newsletter to avoid mailing costs so at <br />this time it is not known exactly how much money will be needed. <br />After further discussion, Council Member Kuether moved to fund <br />the "start up" of the Friends of Lino Lakes Parks Foundation up <br />to $850.00 and the money is to come from the City promotion <br />portion of the budget. Council Member Elliott seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of a Proclamation for Arbor. Day - Mr. Volk noted <br />that over the past several years this City has taken an active <br />part in the annual Arbor Day celebrations. This year the <br />celebration will take place on Friday, May 7, 1993. Celebrations <br />will be held in the morning at Rice Lake Elementary School and in <br />the afternoon at Lino Elementary School. The City will receive a <br />Tree City award for the fifth consecutive year. A proclamation <br />is part of the ceremonies and Mr. Volk asked that the City <br />Council adopt the prepared Arbor Day Proclamation. <br />Council Member Neal moved to adopt the Arbor Day Proclamation. <br />Council Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Consideration of a Proclamation for Earth Day - Mr. Volk <br />explained that the City's annual Earth Day clean-up and <br />celebration activities are scheduled for Saturday, May 8th. <br />These activities will be held at Country Lakes Park. Part of the <br />activities will include the reading of the Earth Day <br />Proclamation. Council Member Kuether moved to adopt the Earth <br />Day Proclamation. Council Member Elliott seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 22 - 93 Establishing License Fee <br />for Residential Solid Waste Haulers - Mr. Volk explained that <br />recently the City Council passed Ordinance No. 93 - 02 mandating <br />that all solid waste haulers operating in the City of Lino Lakes <br />must be licensed. Resolution No. 22 - 93 will establish the fees <br />for the license. The fees can be adjusted with the adoption of <br />another resolution. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to adopt Resolution No. 22 - 93 <br />Establishing License Fee for Residential Solid Waste Haulers. <br />Council Member Neal seconded the motion.
