1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING MAY 24, 1993 <br />Council Member Kuether moved to transfer Mr. Ross' off -sale <br />liquor license to the Tom Thumb Store. Council Member Neal <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of application for Authorization for Exemption from <br />Lawful Gambling License, 8t. Joseph Catholic Church, August <br />Festival, August 8, 1993 - Mrs. Anderson explained that gambling <br />regulations allow non-profit organizations, who conduct fewer <br />than five (5) gambling occasions each year, to apply for an <br />exemption from lawful gambling licensing. <br />St. Joseph Church normally conducts three(3) gambling occasions <br />each year. The application for exemption will allow the Church <br />to conduct bingo at the August Festival. There have been no <br />problems associated with any of the gambling occasions at St. <br />Joseph Catholic Church. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to approve the application for <br />exemption from lawful gambling license for St. Joseph Catholic <br />Church. Council Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Consideration of Letter of Resignation from Gary Uhde, Economic <br />Development Authority Board (EDAB) - Mr. Tesch explained that Mr. <br />Uhde resigned as a member of the Lino Lakes Economic Development <br />Authority Board at the May 12, 1993 meeting. The vacated seat <br />will be filled by a City Council appointment. The EDAB would <br />like to be able to provide some input to the City Council for the <br />replacement. The EDAB will be meeting in June and will prepare <br />their input at that time. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to accept Mr. Uhde's resignation and <br />to appoint a replacement at the June 28, 1993 City Council <br />meeting. Council Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Council Member Neal moved to adjourn at 7:47 P.M. Council Member <br />Kuether seconded the motion.
