1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING OCTOBER 14, 1993 <br />WITH THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNCIL MINUTES <br />DATE : October 14, 1993 <br />TIME STARTED : 7:00 P.M. <br />TIME ENDED : 8:55 P.M. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Reinert, Neal, Kuether, Elliott, Bergeson <br />MEMBERS ABSENT None <br />Hugo City Council members present: Bernard Brunotte, Debra <br />Barnes, and Francis Miron. Hugo City Administrator, Bob Museus <br />was also present. Lino Lakes staff members present: City <br />Administrator, Randy Schumacher, City Engineer, Darrell Schneider <br />and Clerk -Treasurer Marilyn Anderson. <br />The purpose of the meeting was to discuss matters of mutual <br />interest to both cities. <br />Elmcrest (24th Avenue) Bridge Replacement - Mr. Museus explained <br />that plans have been completed for the replacement of the bridge <br />over Hardwood Creek and the surveys have also been completed. <br />The permits need to be renewed. Easement documents are being <br />drafted and must be executed. The estimated cost of replacement <br />is $137,873.00. Both the City of Lino Lakes and the City of Hugo <br />would be responsible for $31,650.00 of the costs. <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that this project has been under <br />consideration for several years and will be completed as soon as <br />MnDOT can budget for its share of the reconstruction costs. The <br />City of Hugo has budgeted its portion of the costs for payable <br />1994. <br />I35E/Main Street Interchange - Mr. Schneider used a map to show <br />the present zoning in the area. He noted that an Interchange <br />Study was completed on this area which includes an analysis of <br />the soil conditions. Mr. Schneider will see that the City of <br />Hugo gets a copy of this study. <br />Council Member Barnes asked if the City of Lino Lakes is <br />considering a buffer on the eastern boundary with the City of <br />PAGE 1 <br />
