1
1
CITY COUNCIL CANVASSING BOARD NOVEMBER 3, 1993
voting out the incumbents. Since the Council Member ballot
contained only incumbents, the only way to express
dissatisfaction was to write in a name or comment.
Mrs. Anderson explained that the difference in the number of
ballots between Mayor Reinert and Mr. Bisel was 35. This means
that there will not be an automatic recount. However, Mr. Bisel
has the lawful right to request a recount at his own expense.
Council Member Neal moved to accept the Summary of.the Municipal
Election as presented by the City Clerk. Council Member Elliott
seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Council Member Bergeson thanked Mrs. Anderson and the entire
election staff for their work on the Municipal Election. Mrs.
Anderson explained that she is very pleased with the entire staff
and because they are well trained and conscientious, the entire
election process was completed without any problem.
Council Member Elliott moved to adjourn at 5:15 P.M. Council
Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Aye.
These minutes were considered, corrected and approved at a
regular City Council meeting held on January 10, 1994.
f /
I4arilyi G. Anderson,
Vernon F.
