PRESENT: <br />MEMBERS ABSENT <br />December 8, 1993 <br />5.00 P.M. <br />6:25PQM. <br />Reinert, Neal, Kuether,' <br />None <br />Elliott,; Bergeson. <br />Staff members present: Becky Dvorak, ADA Coordinator; Dan Tesch, <br />Assistant to the City Administrator; Rocky Keehn, Consulting <br />Engineer; Darrell Schneider, City Engineer; Don Volk, Public <br />Works Director; Brian Wessel, Economic Development Authority <br />Advisory Board Chairman; Mary Kay Wyland, Planning Coordinator <br />and Marilyn Anderson, Clerk -Treasurer. <br />SETTING THE AGENDA <br />Council Member Neal asked that Item No. 5, Minnesota Correctional <br />Facility be added to this agenda. <br />COMPLIANCE WITH CAMPAIGN REPORTING REQUIREMENTS <br />Mayor Reinert asked if all persons and/or committees have <br />complied with the City Ordinance and provided reports that were <br />due on December 2, 1993. The Clerk -Treasurer said that not as <br />yet. Mayor Reinert noted that this is a violation of the City <br />Code and asked that the matter be placed on the Council agenda <br />for Monday, December 13, 1993. <br />AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA) COMPLIANCE COMMITTEE REPORT <br />Mr. Volk introduced Ms. Dvorak who is currently the Lino Lakes <br />Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator. He noted that ADA has been <br />enacted by the Federal government and this City must make an <br />effort to comply with the requirements. Mr. Volk recommended <br />that the City Council consider appointing Ms. Dvorak as Lino <br />Lakes ADA Coordinator and also establish an ADA Compliance <br />Committee to work with her. The ADA Coordinator would coordinate <br />a plan to get this City into compliance with AdA also receive <br />complaints and make recommendations regarding the complaints. <br />PAGE 1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
