Response Time Study — East Site
Mapping the drive times based on a station site
of Centerville Road & Birch Street results in a
shift in coverage to the east.
The results of this drive time analysis extends
the first two analysis regions to almost totally
cover the northeast section of Lino Lakes as
well as covering I -35E and slightly beyond in
the southeast. This station location eliminates
all 14+ minute drive times within the boundaries
of Lino Lakes. The southwest tip of the city
however does increase by one analysis region
to be within the 9-14 minute zone.
Response Time Comparison
For both sites the drive time studies indicate
that the southern half of the City of Lino Lakes
has greatly improved coverage compared to the
existing drive times shown in the previous study
of the current CFD station location drive times.
The western sites along Birch Street obviously
provide shorter response times to the existing
developed regions in the southwest part of the
city. The eastern site of Centerville Road and
Birch Street provides better overall coverage
to all parts of the city and is located closer to
projected future population density growth
areas within the city.
DRIVE TIME STUDY: CENTERVILLE ROAD
Map Key
+SF
Lino Lakes City Limits
Existing Fire Station
New Fire Station
Drive Times
0 - 6 Minutes
6-9 Minutes
9-14 Minutes
14+ Minutes
25
