2t_%_ <br />COUNCIL MEETING MAY 9, 1994 <br />a number of fees and a requirement that an average balance of <br />$50,000.00 or more be maintained. <br />Mr. Schumacher noted that the City has not paid Firstar any fees <br />in the past so that if the City Council selects Firstar the rates <br />will remain the same as in the past. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to remain with Firstar Bank, Lino <br />Lakes, and after one year go through the bid process again. <br />Council Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Consideration of Council Minutes from April 25, 1994 - Council <br />Member Neal moved to approve the minutes as presented. Council <br />Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Motion carried with Council <br />Member Kuether abstaining. <br />Consideration of an Application for Authorization for Exemption <br />from Lawful Gambling License, St. Joseph Catholic Church, August <br />Festival, August 14, 1994 - An application for exemption from <br />Lawful Gambling License has been received from St. Joseph <br />Catholic Church. Since this non-profit organization conducts <br />fewer that five (5) gambling occasions per year, a license is not <br />required by the State or the City. Mrs. Anderson recommended <br />that the City Council adopt a motion approving the Exemption from <br />Lawful Gambling Application. Council Member Kuether moved to <br />approve the Exemption. Council Member Neal seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of an Application for a Block Party for Hawk Ridge <br />Circle - Mr. Anderson presented an application for a block party <br />for Hawk Ridge Circle. Both the Police Department and the Public <br />Works Department have been notified of the party and have made no <br />comments about the application. Hawk Ridge Circle is a cul-de- <br />sac and there should be no traffic problems because of the party. <br />Council Member Neal moved to approve the application for a block <br />party. Council member Bergeson seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />NOTICE: League of Cities Annual Conference, June 7-10, 1994. <br />Mayor Reinert asked all persons planning to attend the conference <br />to notify Mrs. Anderson and she will register everyone. <br />Council Member Neal moved to adjourn at 7:20 P.M.
