Exhibit A <br />Bylaws of <br />Anoka County Fire Protection Council <br />Article I — Name <br />Section 1. Name. The name of the joint powers entity shall be Anoka County Fire Protection <br />Council (hereinafter "ACFPC"). <br />Article II — Location <br />Section 1. Registered Office. The registered office of ACFPC is Spring Lake Park Fire <br />Dept., Inc., 1710 County Hwy 10, Spring Lake Park, MN 55432. The corporate records shall be <br />stored at ACFPC's registered office. <br />Section 2. Mailing Address. ACFPC's mailing address is Spring Lake Park Fire Dept., <br />Inc., 1710 County Hwy 10, Spring Lake Park, MN 55432. <br />Section 3. Other Offices. ACFPC may maintain other offices and places of business as the <br />Board may from time to time designate or the business of the ACFPC may require. <br />Article III — Purpose <br />Section 1. Purpose. The purpose of this Joint Powers Entity is to join together to improve <br />the efficiency and effectiveness of fire and emergency services to the public within the geographic <br />service area of the Members. Specifically, ACFPC will cooperatively address the Members' long <br />term needs for fire -fighting and emergency equipment, fire records data systems, fire-fighter and <br />EMS training, fire prevention, fire inspection, fire -related public education, and other fire- and <br />emergency -related essentials. <br />Section 2. Mission. ACFPC shall strive to: <br />A. Improve safety conditions for ACFPC Members' firefighters; <br />B. Promote fire safety through education, inspections, investigations, and general protection <br />of its Members' citizens; <br />C. Exchange ideas among ACFPC Members in areas related to all aspects of fire and <br />emergency services; <br />D. Enhance overall communications between and among ACFPC Members; <br />1 <br />
