The <br />budget is then presented to the member cities for formal <br />approval. The Commission has prepared a proposed 1995 operating <br />budget that reflects an overall decrease of 1% under the 1994 <br />budget. The budget also reflects a 24% increase in the annual <br />franchise fee that is paid to each member city. Increased <br />revenues as well as the elimination of the debt owed to the <br />company by the Commission accounted for the large increase in <br />revenues. <br />There are 1933 cable TV subscribers in Lino Lakes. This <br />represents almost 48% of the households. <br />Council Member Bergeson asked if the City has a way to influence <br />the Cable Commission's policy on where cable will be installed. <br />Mr. Tesch explained that anyone can request a connection and this <br />request must be considered. <br />PAGE 2 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
