COUNCIL MEETING NOVEMBER 13,1995 <br />The initial ordinance was proposed to limit the number of Commercial Solid Waste <br />licenses to six (6). This ordinance should have read seven (7) licenses. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to adopt the SECOND READING of Ordinance No. 17 - <br />95 and dispense with the reading. Council Member Bergeson„seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 17 - 95 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />SECOND READING, ORDINANCE NO. 19 - 95 AMENDING CHAPTER 211, <br />PARKS, RECREATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD, SECTION 211.05, <br />RANDY SCHUMACHER <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that the existing ordinance dealing with Park Board Members <br />compensation is unclear as it relates to payment of board members who do not attend all <br />regularly scheduled meetings. Ordinance No. 19 - 95 amends the current ordinance, <br />clarifying the fact that if a member misses a regularly scheduled meeting, he/she will not <br />be paid the full quarterly salary. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to adopt Ordinance No. 19 - 95 and dispense with the <br />reading. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 20 - 95 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Newly, Elected Officials - Mayor Reinert said that sometimes newly elected Council <br />Officials get anxious and may want to get into the "drivers seat" and travel around a little <br />ahead of time. He said he did not have a problem with this if they are willing to pay their <br />own way. Mayor Reinert said that he does not remember a time when the City has paid <br />for newly elected officials travel in advance of the newly elected official being properly <br />Page 14 <br />
