Currently five (5) of the six (6) members
have to be present for a quorum. The Steering Committee is proposing that four (4) of the
six (6) Committee members be present to constitute a quorum including at least one
member from each city.
The second proposed amendment involves funding of the Fire District. The current
formula for determining how much each city pays toward the annual budget called the
Balancing Formula -is not working. A meeting was held with the City Administrators to
discuss this matter. It was their recommendation that the Balancing Formula be abolished
and each city be reimbursed for overpayments for the last four (4) years.
PAGE 1
