1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />X 1.5 <br />COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 12, 1994 <br />Council Member Bergeson referred to the levy number in the budget <br />and noted that it is not the same as the levy number on the levy <br />motion. Mr. Schumacher explained that the levy number on the <br />budget does not include some government aids such as HACA. <br />Council Member Bergeson noted that once the preliminary levy is <br />adopted, the City Council cannot increase that figure but can <br />decrease it. Council Member Bergeson asked if the preliminary <br />budget can be increased. Mr. Schumacher said yes, there are no <br />constraints other then the levy. <br />Council Member Bergeson moved to adopt Resolution No. 94 - 72 <br />outlining the preliminary budget for 1995. Council Member <br />Elliott seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 94 - <br />Resolution No. 94 - <br />Collectable in 1995 <br />Resolution No. 94 - <br />seconded the motion. <br />72 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />73 Adopting the Proposed 1994 Tax Levy, <br />- Council Member Elliott moved to adopt <br />73 as presented. Council Member Bergeson <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 94 - 73 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />OLD BIISINESS <br />There was no Old Business <br />NEW BIISINESS <br />Consideration of a List of Properties that have Forfeited to the <br />State of Minnesota in Trust - Mrs. Anderson presented a list of <br />properties that have become tax forfeit to the State. Maps of <br />the properties were included with the Council packets. <br />The owners of these properties have one (1) year from the <br />forfeiture date to redeem the properties. Therefore no action <br />can be taken by the City Council at this time. This matter was <br />presented for informational purposes only. <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 94 - 70 Accepting Donation from <br />the Circle -Lex VFW Post #6583 for Three Ballistics Vests - Mrs. <br />Anderson explained that a check in the amount of $540.00 was <br />received on March 14, 1994 for a vest for Officer Brandon Young. <br />On August 29, 1994, the City received two (2) more checks for <br />vests for Officers Timothy Ross and Steven Wagner. A resolution <br />accepting the donations and expressing gratitude to the Circle - <br />Lex VFW Post #6583 for the donations has been prepared for <br />consideration by the City Council. <br />PAGE 13 <br />
