1 1 1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 12, 1994 <br />To date, the Circle -Lex VFW Post #6583 has donated funding for <br />four (4) vests and the Ladies Auxiliary has donated funding for <br />four (4) vests. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to adopt Resolution No. 94 - 70 <br />expressing gratitude to the Circle -Lex VFW Post #6583 and <br />expressed her own thank you. Council Member Bergeson seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Resolution No. 94 - 70 <br />can be found at the end of the minutes. <br />Chief Pecchia thanked the VFW and the Ladies Auxiliary on behalf <br />of the Lino Lakes Police Department and all of its employees for <br />their continued support. <br />Consideration of Request for Block Party for Woodridge Lane - <br />Mrs. Anderson explained that the request for the block party was <br />received after the agenda was prepared. Since the block party is <br />planned for September 24, 1994, she asked if the City Council <br />would consider the request at this time. <br />The block party is planned for the west end of Woodridge Lane. <br />Since this is a dead end street, there will be no through <br />traffic. The petition for the block party contains the <br />signatures of all residents except one. <br />The purpose of the block party is to install some playground <br />equipment in the Woodridge Estates Park, to form a neighborhood <br />crime watch organization and to have fun. Parks Director, Marty <br />Asleson and representatives of the firm providing the equipment <br />will also help install the playground equipment. <br />Council Member Bergeson moved to approve the block party request. <br />Council Member Elliott seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to adjourn at 8:00 P.M. Council <br />Member Bergeson seconded the motion.
