The easement runs along the <br />front of the property where Rehbein Transit is located. <br />Mr. Sullivan recommended that the City Council accept the new <br />easement. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to accept the easement as presented <br />by Mr. Sullivan. Council Member Elliott seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, REDESIGNATING THE UNUSED PORTION OF THE 1994/1995 <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS, RESOLUTION NO. 95 - 34, <br />RANDY SCHUMACHER <br />Mayor Reinert opened the public hearing at 7:55 P.M. Mr. <br />Schumacher explained that Resolution No. 95 - 06 designated <br />$9,700.00 to the City's Therapeutic Recreation Program. As of <br />March, 1995, there remains an unused balance of $8,811.93 and it <br />has been determined that a majority of these funds will not be <br />used. <br />The City may redesignate all or a portion of the remaining <br />Therapeutic Recreation dollars toward another qualifying plan. <br />The public hearing this evening has been set to take input on <br />qualifying programs. <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that the staff is recommending that <br />$5,000.00 of the 1994/1995 Therapeutic Recreation dollars be <br />designated to the City's Growth Study (Land Use/Economic <br />Development/Impact Study) to be spent before December 31, 1995 <br />The request for redesignation of these dollars will be submitted <br />to the Anoka County Review Board on April 27, 1995 and the Anoka <br />County Board on May 9, 1995 for their approval. <br />Council Member Kuether said that she was under the impression <br />that this matter was dealt with several weeks ago. Mr. <br />Schumacher explained the action of the City Council to date. <br />Council Member Kuether asked what will happen to the remaining <br />$3,800.00 in this fund. Mr. Schumacher explained that it will be <br />used for the Therapeutic Recreation Program. <br />Mayor Reinert asked if there was anyone in the audience to speak <br />on this matter. There was no one. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to close the public hearing at 8:03 <br />P.M. Council Member Kuether seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />PAGE 17 <br />
