COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 27, 1995 <br />Council Member Kuether moved adopt Resolution No. 95 - 34 as <br />presented. Council Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 95 - 34 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION NO. 95 - 27 AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO <br />THE 1994 GENERAL FUND BUDGET, RANDY SCHUMACHER <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that annually the City Auditor's reviews <br />what has been projected for revenues and expenditures in the past <br />budget. Although staff and City Council do the best job possible <br />in preparing the annual budget, however, some expenditures or <br />revenues cannot be anticipated. Attached to Resolution No. 95 - <br />27 are revenue and expenditure summaries. Mr. Schumacher noted <br />that one significant adjustment is in the area of building permit <br />fees. This reflects the decrease in new home building activity <br />in 1994. Mr. Schumacher explained that the City Auditor is <br />recommending that adjustments be made to the 1994 Budget to <br />reflect actual activity of the 1994 Budget. <br />Council Member Bergeson referred to expenditures under the title <br />"Streets", and said he was surprised considering the conditions <br />of City streets, that the City would underspend the street <br />budget. Mr. Powell said that he would discuss the matter with <br />the Public Works Foreman and bring the information to the City <br />Council. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to adopt Resolution No. 95 - 27 <br />Amending the 1994 Budget. Council Member Elliott seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 95 - 27 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Consideration of a Letter from Fairview Hospital, Randy <br />Schumacher - Mr. Schumacher explained a letter had been received <br />from Fairview Hospitals asking the City to help identify <br />potential candidates for the Operational Board of Directors to <br />oversee the operations of District Memorial Hospital. <br />It was determined that candidates names be submitted by Tuesday, <br />March 28, 1995. Mayor Reinert explained that both Ms. Donna <br />Carlson and Mr. Jim Wagner have express continuing interest in <br />working in this area.
