COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 27, 1995 <br />Mr. Carpenter explained that there will be a regional Loyalty Day <br />VFW parade on Lake Drive to commemorate this day. He presented a <br />Loyalty Day pin to Mayor Reinert and noted that these pins are <br />being sold as a fundraiser. Mr. Carpenter thanked the City <br />Council and the Police Department for their support in organizing <br />the Loyalty Day parade. <br />Mrs. Carpenter also thanked the City Council on behalf of the VFW <br />Ladies Auxiliary. <br />SETTING THE AGENDA <br />The agenda was approved as presented. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Council Member Elliott moved to approve the consent agenda as <br />presented. Council Member Kuether seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />ITEM <br />Consideration of Minutes: <br />Council Work Session, February 8, 1995 <br />Joint Council Meeting with the City of <br />Hugo, February 1, 1995 <br />REGULAR <br />OPEN MIKE <br />DISPOSITION <br />Approved <br />Approved <br />20/20 Vision Update, Kim Sullivan - Ms. Sullivan explained that <br />the advisory groups are meeting and have selected their leaders. <br />They are in the process of clarifying their purpose and goals and <br />will be working on activities that will increase the awareness <br />and acceptance of diverse viewpoints within the groups. Overall, <br />there is a very collaborative group of residents who are willing <br />to work together and put together a good "product" of <br />recommendations. <br />The purpose and goal statements are being redrafted and will be <br />available to the public after this week. All documents and <br />meeting notes are available to the public as well. If anyone <br />wishes copies of these documents, they can call Ms. Sullivan at <br />City Hall. <br />The parks and recreation advisory groups purpose is to develop <br />PAGE 2 <br />
