SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 29, 1996 <br />Statement for Construction of the New Centennial Middle School, Elm Street. Council <br />Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION OF A SITE PLAN FOR TAYMARK, BRIAN WESSEL/MARY <br />KAY WYLAND <br />Mr. Wessel introduced Taymark representatives, Mr. Steven Peterson, General Manager <br />Mr. James Kagermeier, Project Architect and Mr. James Koch. <br />KSA Architects have submitted a site plan review package for the Taymark Corporation. <br />Taymark is proposing to construct a 138,400 square foot building with 108,800 square <br />feet of future projection expansion area to be located on Main Street (County Road #14) <br />just west of the Laborer's Training Facility. The building will consist of office, <br />production and warehouse space. The proposed site is approximately 20 acres in size, <br />zoned Light Industrial and shown as Industrial on the City's Comprehensive Land Use <br />Plan. <br />Taymark is anticipating an employment base of 30 office staff ! pr• _# ction area <br />staff. The production area is operated in shifts from 6:00 a. o Ov' throughout <br />the year with the possibility of additional shifts to 12:00 e r ng. Taymark has <br />an existing facility located on the corner of Otter L o an Street (White Bear <br />Parkway) in the City of White Bear Lake. The <br />roadway realignm d . < ity extension will be critical to the development of the <br />Taymark site and <- - lopment of the entire Clearwater Creek Development <br />Center. <br />The City's EDAB has worked diligently with Taymark to facilitate their more to Lino <br />Lakes. TIF financing will be available to the company and they have met all TIF <br />qualifying criteria. The EDAB strongly endorses and welcomes this company's proposed <br />construction in Lino Lakes. <br />Mr. Peterson complimented the City staff who have been very helpful and easy to work <br />with. <br />Mr. Wessel noted that the new business in Lino Lakes will not be named Taymark. <br />Ms. Wyland used the overhead projector and outlined the site plan review. Mr. Peterson <br />noted a revision on the site plan. The setback has been changed from 300 feet to 275 feet. <br />PAGE 2 <br />
