• <br />• <br />COUNCIL MINUTES SEPTEMBER 23, 1996 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />DATE : September 23, 1996 <br />TIME STARTED : 6:35 P.M. <br />TIME ENDED : 7:35 P.M. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT : Landers, Neal, Kuether and Lyden <br />Council Member Bergeson arrived at 7:40 P.M. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT : None <br />Staff members present: City Administrator, Randy Schumacher; City Attorney, Bill Hawkins; <br />Community Development Director, Brian Wessel; City Engineer, David Ahrens; Planning <br />Coordinator, Mary Kay Wyland; Finance Director, Mary Vaske; and Clerk -Treasurer, Marilyn <br />Anderson <br />SETTING THE AGENDA <br />Mayor Landers requested addition of the Voice of Democracy Proclamation under New <br />Business. <br />The Agenda was approved as amended. <br />Council Member Kuether asked if the City received a discount with respect to the $500 <br />expenditure at Fratalone's Hardware. Ms. Vaske responded that she was not aware of a discount. <br />Council Member Kuether asked if a discount could be negotiated, and Ms. Vaske indicated that <br />she would look into that possibility. <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br />City Attorney Hawkins requested that all members of the Environmental Affairs Committee step <br />forward to take the Oath of Office, which he then administered to the following individuals: <br />Full Members - J. P. Houchins, Lori Frist-Thompson, Eugene Lane, Rod Kukonen, Amy Donlin, <br />Maurine Davidson, and Mike Trehaus. <br />Alternates - Paul Montain and Tom Green. <br />Advisors - Patricia Tufts and Art Hawkins. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Council Member Kuether moved to approve the Consent Agenda. Council Member Neal <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
